Single-storey home, low-pitch roof you can access safely. Small system (6–16 panels). No active nesting — just preventing birds from moving in. Comfortable working at heights.
Two-storey or steep roof. Active pigeon infestation with nesting to remove. Large system or complex multi-array layout. No roofing safety equipment. Want a guaranteed, warranted result without the work.
Most single-storey installs can be done in 2–3 hours with basic tools. Always follow safe work practices when working on a roof.
Measure the total outer perimeter of your solar array in linear metres. A 6.6kW system is typically 10–16 linear metres. Your kit includes 30m — enough for most residential systems.
Before installing, remove any debris, feathers, or nesting material from under the panels. Do not seal birds inside. If active eggs or chicks are present, check local regulations before proceeding.
Cut the mesh to match each side of your panel array using tin snips or wire cutters. Work around cable entry points and leave no gaps at corners.
Slide the non-penetrative clips onto the panel frame rail at 200–250mm intervals. No drilling required. Clip tension holds the mesh firmly against the panel perimeter.
Walk the perimeter and check that no gap larger than 20mm remains anywhere — particularly at corners, conduit entry points, and the bottom edge. Pigeons will find any opening.

Yes. The clip system is designed for the standard aluminium frame found on virtually all residential solar panels in Australia. If your panels have an unusual frame profile, contact us before ordering and we can advise.
